The Volunteer 小猪视频官网 Community College Mathematics Department offers a variety of courses aimed at meeting general education requirements for Associate of Science degrees, Associate of Applied Science degrees, as well as certificate programs. Three levels of developmental mathematics are offered. College-level courses offered by the Department include Math for Liberal Arts, College Algebra, Elementary Statistics, Intuitive Calculus, Math for Elementary Education, Pre Calculus I and II, Calculus I, II, and III, and Differential Equations. Courses are offered in a variety of delivery methods including traditional lecture, hybrid, and online. In addition to class offerings on the main campus, classes are also offered at many off-campus sites.
The Department understands the global need and value for increased Mathematics education. Technology is changing society and education. Mathematics - A.S. (TTP)
The Associate of Science (Mathematics) is a two-year program for students planning to continue their education to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mathematics or closely related fields such as Actuarial Science or Statistical Analysis. Mathematics majors take a core collection of classes in calculus, mathematical reasoning, linear algebra, computer programming, probability, statistics, and mathematical modeling. These courses introduce students to a solid foundation of mathematics and provide content knowledge, problem-solving skills, and logical reasoning skills.
Mathematics and Science - A.S.
The Associate of Science (Mathematics and Science) is a two-year program for students planning to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree within the mathematics and science arena. This degree plan permits greater flexibility than other published curriculum guides may offer. Area of emphasis courses are chosen from university parallel courses within the Math and Science division including ASTR, BIOL, CHEM, ENGR (130 or higher), GEOL, ISCI, MATH (1720 or higher), PHYS, and/or PSCI.
